Invoice Designer (Design your own Invoice)
The report design manager allows you to change the layout and format of your invoices.
You will be able to choose from the existing designs provided or simply create your own with the program’s built-in designer. However, starting from scratch can prove to be a rather time-consuming task so it is recommended that you choose one of the existing designs.
The design that you have selected or customized will be used as the template for all invoices, credit notes, quotes, reminders and delivery notes.
Guide
You can change the look of the invoice, or make your own look, with the build-in designer.
The designer is called from Setup –> Design Invoice.
When using the term Invoice it means that one design takes care of both Invoice, Credit note, Quote, Reminder and Delivery note. The program takes care of putting the right information in each type op printout.

How to modify an existing design
Select the design you want to make a copy of, and press ‘Change’
Here you see the designer in work. All the $$$$ is replaced with the correct contents when the invoice is printed. If you Leftclick a Frame (field) , you will see what it is used for. For example the frame in top is called =Companyname wich means it is replaced with your companyname when being printed.
=Companyname must always be placed in the upper part of the invoice for security reasons.
All the frames can be outlined. Each line in the frame can be individualy turned on or off by mean of the four lines shown i the upper toolbox.
Make the copy
Select File / Save As. Find a new name, f.ex. WiEnA4.rpt
Select File / Report properties. Give the design a new name, f.ex. Window Envelope New A4
You now have a copy of the original design and are ready to make your changes.
Structure of the designer
The design is separated in 3 parts:
Page header: Is printed above the article lines.
Detail: All article data goes here.
Page footer: Is printed below the article lines.
Changing a frame: Doubleclick a frame to change font, colour etc.
Inserting a new frame: Rightclick where you want the frame to be. Select New Frame. Doubleclick the new frame. Write the wanted text or select the data you want in the frame.
Let’s try to add a new frame. It will be a page counter.
1: Rightclick somewhere in the Page Footer, select ‘New Frame’.
2: Doubleclick on the frame to open it.
3: Start with the fixed text =’Page ‘
4: Add the digit & to connect the text with the following page number.

6: Open ‘Build in variables’, select ‘Page_Counter’. The contents will now be =’Page ‘ & Page_Counter
7: That’s it. When printing, page one will print Page 1 etc.
